Pete Carroll and Jim Harbaugh have one of the most storied rivalries in all of sports. What started when the two were in the Pac 10 at Southern California and Stanford continued in the NFL when they both took jobs in the NFC West with the Seattle Seahawks and San Francisco 49ers.
Now, the two will compete once again, this time in the AFC West, as Carroll now coaches the Las Vegas Raiders and Harbaugh leads the Los Angeles Chargers. The rivalry, however, will not stop Carroll from pursuing one of Harbaugh’s former Michigan stars. On Sunday, ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter reported that the Raiders were hosting Wolverines defensive tackle Mason Graham on a visit ahead of the 2025 NFL Draft.
Graham is a consensus top-10 pick after an impressive three-year career at Michigan. Not only did he win a National Championship in 2023, but he earned All-American honors during his final season after a 45-tackle, 3.5-sack, seven-tackle-for-loss campaign.
Las Vegas may need another long-term answer at defensive tackle next to Christian Wilkins, as veteran Adam Butler only signed a two-year contract, and none of the other players on the roster have proven enough yet at the NFL level. While it is a deep draft class for defensive tackles, new general manager John Spytek loves building through the trenches, and he is a Michigan man himself. At the very least, the new Raiders’ regime is taking a close look at Graham, and he is in the running for the No. 6 pick.
