‘Tumultuous’ is probably the best word to describe the Miami Heat’s 2024-25 NBA regular season run. Erik Spoelstra and Co. had to deal with a slump. Pat Riley and Jimmy Butler had quite an ugly separation. Many other injuries also bogged them down. Now, Tyler Herro and the rest of the squad are just focused on one thing.
The Heat want to secure a good spot in the NBA Play-In Tournament in order to reach a postseason berth. This journey to the end of the regular season has started off quite well. With their dominant 118-95 win over the Philadelphia 76ers, Tyler Herro knows exactly what goal they are aiming for.
The NBA All-Star unveiled his feelings on it during his latest statement, via Barry Jackson of The Miami Herald.
“We have our eyes set on that play-in. We have a chance to get that 8th seed and make it a competitive series,” he declared.
Against the 76ers, Herro popped off in 34 minutes of action. He put up 30 points while also dishing out seven assists. His work on the glass may have gone under the radar but those three rebounds were valuable for the Heat.
Herro’s shooting was also very infectious. Everyone on the Heat managed to sink 46.5% of their three-point shots. So, it’s safe to say that Coach Erik Spoelstra and his team have found their identity. Hopefully, Herro becomes the lead star that this team needs for them to secure that eighth seed in the NBA Play-In Tournament.
