But there’s also one unheralded, mostly in-jest reason for the Giants to pick Hunter.

 

The idea started circulating on social media Friday night after the Giants signed Jameis Winston to potentially be their quarterback if the rest of the offseason doesn’t present someone better.

 

The X account @GiantsFan1500 wrote this: “We need to draft Travis Hunter to tackle people when Jameis throws INTs.”
