It was a career year for Philadelphia Eagles linebacker Zack Baun, accumulating 151 tackles, 11 tackles for loss, 3.5 sacks, seven pressures, four pass deflections, and one interception while also allowing zero touchdowns despite being targeted 68 times.
All of that combined led him to be named to the first Pro Bowl, First-Team All-Pro and finish fifth in Defensive Player of the Year voting.
Baun was one of the biggest steals of last offseason, signing a one-year deal worth just $3.5 million with the Eagles after being used as primarily a special teams player in his first four years with the New Orleans Saints,
However, that means he is once again set to hit the open market, with Pro Football & Sports Network predicting he will end up with the Los Angeles Rams, who Philadelphia eliminated in the Divisional Round en route to their Super Bowl LIX victory.
Baun could come in and be a big factor in helping improve the Rams’ defense, which in 2024 struggled, ranking 17th in points per game allowed (22.7) and 26th in total yards per game allowed (353.1).
If Los Angeles does want Baun, though, they will not be getting the same type of deal he’d earned with Philadelphia, as Spotrac currently places his market value at $9.7 million annually.
