A Stellar Season for Anna Kalinskaya, Despite Adversity
As the tennis season winds down, players are taking some well-deserved rest after a grueling schedule. It’s a time for reflection, analysis, and preparation for an even stronger 2025.
One player who has certainly made waves this year is Anna Kalinskaya. Starting the season ranked 80th in the world, she has climbed an impressive 68 spots to reach the 12th position in the women’s singles ranking. Her consistent performances and determination have been truly inspiring.
While Kalinskaya’s last appearance was at the Ningbo Open, it remains uncertain whether she will continue her season. With a demanding schedule of 52 matches this year, it’s understandable if she chooses to prioritize rest and recovery.
Unfortunately, health issues have plagued Kalinskaya throughout the season. She was forced to withdraw from her fourth-round match in Miami due to a right thigh injury and had to retire from her Round 4 match at Wimbledon due to feeling numb. Even at the Canadian Open, she was unable to complete her match.
Despite these setbacks, Kalinskaya’s resilience and talent have shone through. Her journey this season serves as a testament to her dedication and hard work. As she takes some time off, we wish her a speedy recovery and look forward to seeing her back on the court, stronger than ever, in 2025.
